Gisel mengawali karirnya lewat ajang pencarian bakat yaitu Indonesian Idol 2008. Namun namanya mulai melambung ketika dirinya bergabung dengan salah satu program lawak di televise swasta yaitu Opera Van Java sebagai seorang sinden.
Gisel yang dulunya mantan dari Desta ini menikah dengan Gading Marten yang merupakan anak dari aktor legendaris di Indonesia, Roy Marten. Acara pernikahan mereka dilangsungkan di Uluwatu, Bali. Dengan nuansa putih, keduanya menikah walaupun memiliki perbedaan agama.
Ternyata Gisel memiliki keyakinan atau beragama Katolik sedangkan Gading Marten sendiri penganut ata beragama Kristen Ortodoks.
Namun, Lima tahun menikah, Gisella Anastasia dikabarkan menggugat cerai suaminya Gading Marten di Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Selatan pada Senin, (19/11). Kabar perceraian Gisel dan Gading pun langsung mencuri perhatian netizen.
Tak lama isu ini beredar, media sosial keduanya langsung diserbu komentar netizen yang mengharap kejelasan tentang apa yang terjadi. Gisel pun akhirnya mengunggah foto keluarga kecilnya bersama Gading dan Gempi dengan caption yang membuat haru banyak orang.
